Robyn is such a great Raw Food chef! And your Sunny Cashew-Apricot Energy Cookies look divine! My favorite food related travel tip… I usually scope out the restaurants in advance via iPhone Yelp app or Google. And I make sure to bring granola bars or fruit or fruit snacks with me on the plane.

My top travel food tip would have to be, make your own snacks to take along! Granola bars, muffins, nut and fruit bars, granola! Items that will hold together well, and last, and that are simple to eat!

  27. Mizpah @ The Raw Food Solution

I always take a lot of fruit and energy bars for long flights. If you are really lucky you can order raw vegan meals or a fruit platter but not many airlines do this anymore.

  28. Megan @ The Detoxinista

I always bring some healthy food with me! You never know what you’ll find when traveling, so having a few of my favorites on hand (raw almonds, organic cucumbers, avocado, lemons) help keep me satisfied.

  29. Holly

Pack lots of nutritious snacks and drink lots of water and no alcohol on the plane.

I like you both on fb!! and my best travel tip is to bring along fruit rollups ( dehydrated of course)! as well I always like to bring a small container of phytoplankton and blue green algae and mix it with water in the morning, its easy and I find if you start the day of on a good note the rest falls into place much better!! thanks a lot

  37. Picasso stacy

I need travel tips for work, winning the raw travel book would be awesome….

  40. Christy Reed

My favorite thing to do while traveling is to bring green powders and chorella tablets with me. That way I can always be assured I’m getting something nutritious. Also, it really helps if you bring along a yummy herbal tea in your thermos or water bottle. That way, when everyone around you is drinking the high fat high sugar coffee drinks at the rest areas, you won’t feel as deprived, knowing you have a delicious drink in the car that’s good for you too!

Oh my gosh! Amber, you chose my photo! This has honestly made me sparkle, because my photography skills are so horrendous that I’m generally grateful if I manage to take any that are even mildly clear and okay to put on the blog. (Let’s not talk about how I’ve even stopped trying for Tastespotting.) Thank you!! 🙂

  54. Veggie V! @ Veggie V's Vegan Adventure

I don’t travel much, but I do spent a lot of time on the road just getting from here to there, so my tips for that are to plan ahead and pack your own food. I never go anywhere without food in my bag, and for longer jaunts, even if it’s just shopping out of town, I pack a soft side cooler. My go-tos are: energy bars (store bought or homemade), fresh fruit that’s washed and/or cut, dried fruit, nuts, veggies that are ready to go, dip, nut butter, etc. My husband makes fun of me for packing so much food, but he ends up eating it too, so ha ha! I also pack tons of water; I hate not having water on the road (and tissues, but that’s for a different post).
